In electronics, the review base is the brand
A consumer electronics brand entering a market with no recognition competes against products the buyer can research exhaustively in twenty minutes. Nothing else you do matters if that research goes badly.

What decides the purchase
In roughly this order, and almost none of it is advertising.
- Independent reviews and ratings. The strongest predictor of sustained sales for an unfamiliar brand, and the thing most entrants leave to chance.
- Explicit comparison. Buyers compare against named alternatives. Frame it yourself or a competitor's matrix frames it for you.
- Service and warranty path. What happens when it fails, stated plainly. Its absence is a purchase blocker, not a detail.
- Specification legibility. Buyers read specifications closely in this category and vague or inconsistent numbers destroy credibility instantly.
- Compliance and safety. Increasingly checked, particularly in Europe, and increasingly a marketing claim that must be evidenced.
What gets built
Content-heavy and media-light, which is the correct ratio for this category.
A positioning platform against the incumbents
Not against your home comparison, which is rarely the same set.
Comparison content
Honest enough to be credible, which means acknowledging where an alternative is better.
Review and rating architecture
Designed within platform rules rather than hoped for. E-commerce and D2C.
Specification and listing system
One maintained source feeding every platform and market, so numbers never disagree.
Service communication
The path, the terms and the contact, made prominent.
Compliance claim discipline
Evidenced, owned and audit-ready.
Creator and unboxing programme
Where the category and market support it, chosen on credibility rather than reach.
Where electronics brands get caught
Performance, battery, efficiency and environmental claims are all checkable and increasingly checked.
Claim, evidence, owner, and nothing publishes without all three. It is dull and it prevents the specific failure that removes a brand from a marketplace.
The same ledger answers retailer questionnaires, platform compliance checks and consumer disputes.
Questions overseas teams ask
How much should we spend on media?
Less than most agencies propose and considerably more than most brands expect on content. In this category the listing and the review base do the selling, and media without them amplifies a weak page.
Do we need local language?
For consumer electronics in Europe, generally yes for priority markets. For India, English is usually sufficient. It is a market-by-market decision.
Can you run the marketplace operations?
Standard and strategy from me, daily operations through Quiamo or a local partner under a defined brief.
What about counterfeits and grey imports?
Enforcement is a legal question. Commercially the response is making the official listing clearly better on authenticity, warranty and support.
Send me one product listing
From whichever market you are in or entering. I will tell you what a researching buyer could not resolve from it, which is usually where the conversion is lost.
