Service

One person on the critical path, in the market you are not in

Launch failure is rarely dramatic. It is a slow accumulation of small gaps while every individual party does their job and nobody runs the critical path.

Where launches actually stall

The pattern repeats regardless of category or market.

  1. The registration was not on the critical path. The campaign is built, the inventory is ready, and everything waits on a queue nobody scheduled.
  2. The price was set from the home market. Then discovered after landing cost, duty, channel margin and platform fees that the position is untenable.
  3. Nobody owns the calendar. Creative waits on product data, the channel waits on pricing approval, the listing waits on a document, and each party is blameless.
  4. The sales team was told, not equipped. A datasheet and an announcement, and six months later they are still selling the old range.
  5. Measurement was designed last. So nobody can say whether it worked, and the second-year budget conversation goes badly.

What the programme covers

A defined ninety to a hundred and twenty days, with one person accountable for the whole calendar.

01

Channel decision and sequence

Which route first, which second, with the working capital and content implications of each stated rather than discovered.

02

Price architecture

Landed cost through every channel level to the shelf or quotation, with promotional allowance included.

03

A view on what leads the launch

Which products carry the story into the market. The full range decision stays with your product team, where it belongs.

04

Listing and sales content

Everything the channel needs to actually sell. Sales material and launch kits.

05

Campaign and creator programme

Sequenced against inventory and listing readiness rather than against a marketing calendar.

06

Agency and vendor management

Selection, briefing and quality control across creative, media, PR and marketplace specialists.

07

Measurement and reporting

Designed at the start. Weighted pipeline or contribution after platform costs, reported weekly in writing.

Measuring a launch before revenue arrives

Revenue in month three tells you almost nothing, and a board that treats it as the measure will either cut the programme early or force activity that damages the position.

For anything with a technical sale, the two gold stages are what predict the next year. Most CRM models omit them entirely, which is why launch forecasts do not hold.

For consumer launches the equivalent leading measures are listing quality, review accumulation and repeat rate rather than gross revenue.

A pipeline that jumps from qualified to proposal hides the two stages that decide next year's revenue, which is why the forecast never holds.

Questions overseas teams ask

What is not included in the fee?

Media spend, production, printing, research, translation, marketplace fees, sampling and inventory. I recommend, negotiate and manage those relationships and do not mark them up, because a consultant taking a margin on media has an incentive you do not want.

Can you launch in two markets at once?

Possible and usually a mistake. Proving one properly and then replicating is faster in practice than running two half-resourced launches, and considerably cheaper when one of them turns out to be wrong.

Who runs it after day ninety?

Either your team with a light advisory arrangement, or a continuing fractional retainer at lower intensity, or a local hire I help you recruit. That conversation happens around day sixty rather than at the end.

Do you handle regulatory registration?

No. Where certification or import registration applies, qualified specialists file it and I manage the timeline against the commercial calendar. Mixing those two roles is how companies end up with neither done properly.

What is the launch date, and what is not ready?

Those two answers usually locate the whole problem. Tell me the market, the date and the piece you are most worried about.
